We are watching a film.
We have paid to see this film.
Nobody cares what you think of it right now.
It is not about you.

Get over yourself, Mr. Heckler.

I agree, but didn't the heckler also pay to see this movie?

Another point, what if the film was made to be heckled? I watched Spider-Man 3 last night with a friend of mine just to nit-pick it (in the comfort of my own home so as not to disturb anyone else who wants to take the film seriously), and I can't help but think that Sam Raimi wanted the audience to laugh at how moronically handled Venom was "explored." He said himself that he didn't like the character that much anyway, so why not go all Emo Parker on everyone?

Lawyers, journalists, and politicians are the refuse of the first world.

Hecklers not so much, but I agree that they are annoying.

Those movies are known to be bad. Screenings of The Room wouldn't be complete without heckling and spoon-throwing. It's different for a movie that people are trying to watch seriously. If someone feels like heckling a movie, he/she should organize his/her own screening.

No your not alone although when I saw Balls of Fury in theaters there were quite a few hecklers but I honestly didn't care cause that movie sucked ass and my friends and I walked out in the first half and ended up getting rainchecks for another film.

No, this whole thing is actually pretty alien to me too. I've never experienced nor heard of anyone who experienced anything like "heckling" on a theather. Which does make me wonder what they are talking about. Some guy who's making fun of the film out loud or something like that? I really can't conceive the logistics of this.

Yeah that's usually what happens. It's pretty annoying IMO.

There are other variations of course, like the person that asks questions about what's happening on screen out loud. The intention might not be the same but its just as annoying.

These people sound like complete jackasses. I count myself fortunate not to have run across them.

Lawyers, Scientology, and politicians are the refuse of the first world.

It's a little-known fact that Brik is the reason Scientologists hate Psychologists, as he used Hideaki Anno's time machine to go back and see Ron L. Hubbard and dance in the buff around his house. Suffice to say, they're jealous of the "Freudian thing" they saw that day.

If we use the metaphor that lawyers are leeches then journalists are locusts. They swarm any location where tragedy occurs and then sensationalize, misrepresent, or fabricate the facts in order to further their own agenda. Not all reports are like this, but most are, and more are today than they were in the past. After devouring all the information that can get from a story they move on to the next tragedy leaving behind a famine in their wake. They make no discretion between public and the private with no regard for the consequences of their intrusive methods.

Sadly no. Quite frankly, the onion is more balanced and informed than the vast majority of mainstream news media in today's America.

Rarely does this happen when I go to theaters, so I don't have a lot to complain... unless you see a family film and there are children mainly in the theater. And boom goes the aggravation.
