Eva 0 after Instrumentality

In the End of Evangelion, What happened to unit 0? I know 1 is in space and 2is destroyed by the MP's, but does it ever explain what happened to 0?

Most likely the same thing that happened to the MPEs, getting turned into statues (or something like that) Although surely other users more into those aspect of the series could give you a better answer.

The only real things that survived the explosion are the entry plug and Rei, well at least in the from of Kentucky fried Rei

Ritsuko told Shinji and Misato that evas are human. The human instrumentality project combined all humans into one. Therefore, Unit 00 became LCL like everyone else. Now, does it have the choice to be reincarnated as an Eva? If someone builds it a new body perhaps.

Not much I'd assume. Seeing as it was destroyed in the explosion during the battle with Armisael in episode 23.

The soul in Unit-00 is Rei 1. Wouldn't she come back as Rei 1, not Unit-00?
