Yes. But if they do, I will be happy with a US cinematic release sometime between this Fall and the Funi BD, even if it is in the film's English dub.

White is all the colors of the rainbow merged together, so that would be nice. Pretty sure the official color scheme was discussed somewhere but I'm hoping for FINAL to be white as well.

So many different things it could mean! For that matter, what would 3.0's cyan/blue represent? I'm curious if the 1.0's red and 2.0's orange fit their film's themes at all or if the colors were just chosen to represent a rainbow (as we all know, NME has tons of those).

Yup, in part they probably made it because it 's more cool in this way, I suppose.

Italian subs aren't that good, but it looks like Funi also makes some serious mistakes at times; actually the Italian edition didn't change telop at all, luckily.

The color scheme wasn't really news, since it was known/there since January 1st when they put the tabs on the website. (Should have posted that January 1st, not now)

And the choice of color seems to have been originally discussed in page 1 of this topic, but the guesses were way off, with some expecting yellow:

The colors probably describe the stages of the ascension of Shinji or humanity,
Red = Sea/LCL, ala fish coming out of water in evolution
Orange = Ground/Dirt, walking on land
Blue = Air, ascending, but not there yet. Shinji's not god yet.
White = Clouds/Heaven, god mode on

As far as the colors go, I agree with Warren Peace (and anyone else who may have said it that I might've forgotten) that 3.0's colors immediately remind me of water. Specifically just a stereotypical view of the water in the ocean.

I'm hoping they stick with white for FINAL, as well, and I agree with what symbv and Sailor Star Dust mentioned about its meaning. So many rainbows, so many things that could tie in with their appearances in the films. To me the rainbows have always just felt like visual effects added to make the Angel deaths more interesting, but if they tie-in with other elements of the film that's pretty cool.

I once casually thought that Red for Unit-02, Orange for Unit-00 and so what's left should be Purple for Unit-01, but now it's cyan after all. So much for my little theory :p

Probably not what they're going for, but Unit-00 was blue once upon a time. Would have to be a new organism called Unit-00 I'd think. I mean, if THAT isn't enough to kill an Eva... maybe they can regrow it from the shins up
