How did they capture Rei's soul? Did they use a core like one of them traps from Ghostbusters? Did they bust into Lilith's body and find a soul? Did they manage to capture quantum Rei out of thin air and take a piece out of her?

There's implications that the soul stays in the body after death, considering people explode into LCL when their soul is removed during Third Impact.
