Hoshi will be committing internet suicide at some point by LPing Super Robot Wars L. Then again, at least you can skip the animations in this one...and the transform option is rather niftily allocated to a single button instead of having to march through menus.

Rebuild of Evangelion 1.0 in SRW Link! First off, we start with the Sachiel battle:

I call bull crap when a Macross class ship or Iczer 1 can't break through an AT Field yet G-Gunner from Godannar can! To an extent I can understand Mazinger Z and Voltes V is a stretch, but come on! One thing to note is that when the Haniwa Empire from Steel God Jeeg shows up apparently Sachiel and them are on the same side. Alliance much? Remember one of my earlier posts?

Sachiel: Hey, you from Earth?
Type 12: No.
Sachiel: Hate humans?
Type 12: Yes.
Sachiel: Lets be friends.
Type 12: 'k.

The ONLY difference is...... actually it's below, plus Type 12 isn't in this game.

The AT Field is pretty much the same and Shamshel's got some more meat on his bones (no pun intended), plus the Banpresto original rival shows up. Not much to call bull crap on really. Like Sachiel, Shamshel does an alliance of sorts, this time with the mimetic beasts from Godannar as they possess machinery.

Now the Ramiel battle:

So we can assume his cross style nuclear beam is in as a map attack. Lilith is mentioned during one of the cutaway parts, but not shown (not surprising really). This time Ramiel doesn't join the mimetic beasts, but rather attacks them too; guess he doesn't have much people skills. He can be killed twice to trigger the sniping event that inevitably kills him. I thought it was awesome when Combattler V did X amount of damage with the Super Electromagnetic Hurricane and Spin.

One could say the same for Tunniel and Clockiel since official names have yet to be released, the only difference is that my two are actual angel names with plausibility. Besides, I'm the only one using it, it's not like half the site is using one pair of names and the other one is using others.

It should be pretty obvious at this point that the official names are merely numerical designation and there will be no silly religious references this time. We already have a colossal amount of support material in the form of two massive Complete Records tomes as well as the Chronicles and countless magazine articles spanning years. If I'm not wrong at the times of NGE the names of the first batch of angels were shown on screen in that half-filler episode (episode 14) but until that point were they given names in some publications? If they weren't the only difference is probably that we'll have to wait years rather than months (or maybe only weeks) before discovering them; I'd find surprising that they'll remain nameless forever, their names should be present in the "Secret Dead Sea Scrolls" (which are still mentioned).

Strange that they missed Kushiel, they clearly referenced him in the dialogue in the beginning and he was seen in the second promo vid. Strange....
