Still awesome to see an America comic artist try to draw anime characters. Neat but I prefer Sadamoto's Rei. Who doesn't? Well, maybe those NGE H-doujin readers like the people on *THAT BOARD*, but really.

According to Wikipedia's page on Immortal Grand Prix (IGPX)
In the episode "Cat vs. Dog", there is a man who looks exactly like Gendo Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion. The man also sits with his hands crossed over his face, which was first done by Gendo and has been done in many other anime series. This character insertion was probably due to Production I.G working on both IGPX and the Evangelion movies.
I, for one, would welcome our Production I.G. overlords, rooting out human resistance in excange for not making me work in the animation mines of RahXephon V.

I was following a hunch I picked up off of Wikipedia the other day, and checked out the 6th episode of IGPX once more. In mid-viewing, this popped up:
That's the leader of Team Edgeraid (aka the one with the dog) before the match with Team Satomi. It might be just a coincedance, but apparently Production I.G. also did some work on EoE. There's supposed to be some refereances to Ghost in the Shell somewhere as well.
