FelipeFritschF: Yeah, I agree. This book felt pretty pointless, except for the section with illustrated messages from different artists.

kuribo-04: Thanks for your kind words! I'll try to do another book review for next week or the week after. ^_^

robersora: Thank you! It's nice to be back. I think there are at least 50 books left to review, so typing out that many book titles is a bit daunting at the moment. However, what I can do is offer a mini preview by letting you know which books I am (tentatively) planning to review next! Since there is renewed interest in the New Theatrical Edition now that the first three movies are on Khara's YouTube channel, I was thinking of doing Evangelion Shin Gekijouban: Jo - Entry File 1, and then after that I could do Eva Extra 04 (the actual magazine, not the mobile app).

Thanks for your comments, everyone! :D

It's amazing how many Eva books exist.
Shinji: "Sooner or later I'll be betrayed... And they'll leave me. Still... I want to meet them again, because I believe my feelings at that time were real."
Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"

Yeah, it's truly incredible that there are so many Evangelion books! I'd imagine that the number of Eva figurines and action figures is even larger, though. I wonder if there's an alternate universe where I collect Evangelion figures instead of books? I hope that alternate universe version of me has a lot more storage space! -o-;

Thankfully I only go for the figures I really like. But...the books are taking up lots of space. When I think about moving to a different place...oh boy lol.

I posted my sixty-ninth Evangelion book review today! This time, it's Eva Extra 04. This is the actual magazine, not the mobile app. So even if you already have the app, hopefully you will still enjoy seeing what the physical magazine is like, including its packaging and bonus goodies. ^_^

Did not know it came with those large cards. It's so cool looking. :)

Yeah, it has that amazing sense for aesthetic promotional material and packaging, I always adored about Evangelion. There was this interesting article with the guy responsible for the design language for the packaging of the Blu-Rays of NTE... I just can't remember the name and where I've read it tho... It was definitely a designer normally working outside the Anime industry... maybe Literary Eagle has a clue? : )

Ah, that sounds like an interesti g read. And yeah, sometimes the design of all the merch, books,
etc, feels like it could stand as its own as an aesthetic series of products.

kuribo-04: Yeah, the large cards and the packaging are pretty cool. The magazine is nice even without that extra stuff, but something about those extras really takes the whole thing to another level!

robersora: A lot of Evangelion stuff sure does have nifty packaging! Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the article you're referring to. If you do happen to come across it again, please send the link my way! I'd love to see it. ^_^

I posted my seventieth Evangelion book review today! (Wow, 70 book reviews! Can you believe it?) This time, it's EVANGELION Millennials 2. This is a NEW BOOK that came out just a few weeks ago, so I hope you enjoy the review!

Also, I have edited my review of Evangelion ANIMA 3, because that book is now available in English. Yay!

Have you bought the first two volumes of Evangelion Original? Some people are looking to possibly translate the original screenplays.

Thank you for your work, as always.

Hi, thanks for your comment! Sorry, I didn't bother with buying the other two volumes of Evangelion Original. If your translator friends are looking to purchase them, they're pretty easy to find on websites that specialize in selling used Japanese books, such as Mandarake. Good luck with the project! ^_^

I posted my seventy-first book review today! This time, it's Evangelion ANIMA 4. I didn't get too deeply into the plot, because I would like people to support the official English release if they're interested (and for those who do want to discuss plot details, EvaGeeks already has a thread devoted to ANIMA anyway). However, please note that the review still reveals a few story details in the pictures and such, so keep that in mind if you haven't read the book yet and want to avoid spoilers. ^_^

Gave it a read! Interesting as always.

Still can't wrap my head around some concepts in Anima lol.

I purchased Evangelion Chronicle Illustrations to fill the void the delay left.

I had no idea the Asuka one was the same book but revised till I read your post. Helped me out there. ^_^

What does Chronicle Illustrations add to my collection? Are they exclusive?

I'm not sure. I know the Chronicle illustrations are taken from the Chronicle magazine. The revised edition might have original illystrations though. If you only have the OG book then most likely this stuff would be new to you.
