Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

It's more of an issue when you're relatively new like me. Several later techs are designed to take care of your early weaknesses. But yeah, I'm a little butthurt.

I've decided to keep going... Partly because I have friends that play, but also for VENGEANCE.

As excited as I am to have a new, more than likely better job starting on Monday, it's so sad saying bye to all my coworkers at my current job. For all the complaints I've had throughout the past few years, I forgot how many awesome people I've met there. Some left before I did, but yeah. Tomorrow is my last day, but the person I've been closest to for the past few months won't be there so I had to say goodbye tonight. So sad. Of course we'll still probably stay in touch online but still an emotional goodbye. Though I guess she'll be moving back home yo India at the end of the summer anyway. Then there's another coworker who was one of my favorites that I didn't even have a chance to tell I was leaving until today because I haven't gotten to work with her in a few weeks, but that was sad too.

Working on two different group projects at the same time is a nightmare. The logistics alone are a headache.

Well, with Kill la Kill and Build Fighters having ended, I feel pretty hollow right now. I'm mostly daydreaming and listening to music the past days. Work has become dull again and when I went to the gym I did my sets like a robot; there was no passion behind it. I guess after 6 months of pure fun on a weekly basis it will take a while to get back to normal. I think I will take a break for a while and do something else.

Needed to do a work in Portuguese classes. Talk about a segment of "Os Lusíadas". Simple enough, It was going okay but when I got to the middle of it I got blank, nothing came out. I tried to remember what I had to say, organize my thoughts, to no results. I went back to my seat.

---

Later, I was going to do a test and I realized: "Shit, I don´t have the specific test sheet I required to do it. I looked around, just needed to ask for one from my classmates, that´s it.

I waited some good 20 minutes before I mustered the courage to ask for it. Damnit. I´m not the anti-social mess I was years ago but it seems I still need to change some ridiculous behaviours.

When I encounter existential crisis after great animu or something like that ends I either take a break to focus on something else entirely or if I don't want to radically change how I spend time on my hobbies I'll quickly wash the taste of landmark series with something quick and often questionable. Mostly this means old school OVA boom fluff.

Whether said OVAs are good or bad it's pretty good way to clean the slate for next endeavour. Case in point I'm going through number of old school OVAs and the like I've had hanging for a long time now that I finally caught up with Gundam.

I curse God because catgirls are not real.

I'm sure as a result of this post catgirls will emerge but I will still be allergic to cats.

I never suffer existential crises. Chuckman is.

I've long since fallen out of love with The Simpsons (it's nearly a decade older than I am and I don't get a lot of the pop culture references, yet I still enjoyed the early seasons) but when it ends I'll probably lose a tiny part of myself that I can never get back.

Oh my God, I just thought of something worse.

What if it NEVER ends?!?!

I missed the train for my Architecture of Multiplayer Games class which starts today.

:shinchair:

I've been waiting my whole grad school career to take an actual games course and this is how I start it?

(Not that big a deal -- all courses are both in-class and online; signing up for the in-class section merely guarantees you a seat in the room. But I still missed a networking opportunity.)

I've heard from friends who are dedicated watchers that the newer seasons have climbed out of the quality trough that began with the jockey episode (which I actually think is the last good one) but I'm too apathetic to try watching it and seeing for myself.

Among the multitude of cosmoses there is a universe where I am a harem lead with an assortment of would-be waifus ranging from magical girls to Eva pilots (maybe even some eldritch abominations in the form of moe humanoids).

This is not that universe.

^Shit, that sucks, man.

Anyway, I guess I've got nobody to blame but myself for this one.

EA were offering Dead Space for free on Origin. So I logged into Origin (which is an FML in itself) only for it to tell me that because I'm not 18, I can't download it. Naturally, as the free offer wouldn't last forever and I'm on a tight budget at the moment, I decided the answer was to torrent it.

So I found a torrent of the game and downloaded it. It got to 99.9% completion...

...and has been stuck at 99.9% completion for several hours now. The seeds appear to have disconnected. Bugger.

The ISO is in the folder, but I'm worried that trying to use it when the file hasn't fully downloaded is a bad idea. Or maybe that's all there is and it's just glitching out.

So, yeah. My comeuppance for pirating games I suppose...Although seeing as it was being offered for free, I'm not sure it's really stealing...

On the other hand, the MonMusuQuest translated trilogy successfully downloaded, so I can play that. :kensuke_drool:

I've had torrents that I had to leave for several weeks before they were able to complete; a few hours is far too soon to get upset.
