After a brief period of actual IRL moping, I went back to the VN she was from and tried to figure out why she did it, writing a giant analytical essay along the way. Through it, I discovered just how deep her character ran. In short, Mute is mai waifu because she's an intellectual, has an emotional range deeper than the Marianas Trench, makes me laugh, and because she's pretty darn cute.
