The monogatari series has got to be one of my favourite anime's around, everything from the art style to the characters was just spot on to me. I loved the art style so much that I went through and made like 300 backgrounds from the show for my computer and I loved the show so much that I absolutely had to buy the collectors edition for Bakemonogatari when I found it in Japan. I somehow managed to miss neko as it came out whilst I was on holiday but I am going to rectify this situation immediately :D

Who else misses -gatari already?
Currently rewatching Nisemonogatari(It's good fuck you, Xard), because I need my fill of shounen and nudity when the warm season comes around.

I think the movie Kizumonogatari is supposed to come out in 2013 as well.

Still wondering why it took me this long to figure out that Shinobu and Mari have the same VA....

Got a friend to start watching recently. He just saw the toothbrush scene yesterday. I have yet to get his thoughts on it. :lol:

I never noticed that either. I'm terrible at recognizing VAs unless their voices are extremely distinctive.

She talks quite a bit in some episodes of Nisemonogatari. And the only reason I bothered to check was because Shinobu's general way of talking resonated with a soundbite of Mari in my head, specifically the end of the line: "You sure you didn't visit him just to see his face?"

I think the few mumblings of Shinobu in Bakemonogatari were from a different actress than in Neko, if I remember correctly.
