The 5min time limit etc. all comes from Ultraman too.

*3 Minute
Eva-01 is basically love child of Ultraman and Nausicaä's God Warrior in a violet jumpet.

Unit 01 doesn't even have the same color scheme as any incarnation of Ultraman.

Bakemonogatari is good, yeah. I love episode 12 to death, actually probably more than rest of the show put together. Just perfect episode.

Some time after I watch Rebuild 2.2 this weekend
*sigh* Good bye Gundam ;_; I'll miss you
lol I might be a week or so late on Sayonara no Tsubasa but I'll definatly be watching it. Also I'm going to watch SDF Macross, I mean it this time too, but thats a bit further down the road

Oh and episode 12 was amazing. The dialog in that show was amazing and the random inserts fit well. I different series that never seems to work and gets annoying fast.

EDIT: Later I curled up with some tea, pizza, and The Borrowers Arrietty. That was a beautiful movie, in fact I think that was the best Ghibli movie I have seen to date. Visually amazing and great story line.
Well deserved 10/10

^ Do you have too much time? Or you consider watching so many "boring" (in your words) anime something wholesome to your life? At least I find most of the above worth my time (have not checked Kamichu anime, but the manga is alright, and beautiful).

I honestly loved all of it, just wish it was longer. They could have added a few more cases or expaned on their relationship but either way it could use some more content.
9.5/10

Did I tell you I consider Bake a masterpiece and I still consider it is one of the best anime I have ever seen?

Since the anime is adapted from the light novel, they used up all the cases in the novel so there is no more cases to add. And the relationship among the characters will be explored further in other novels in the series. The anime basically adapted the light novel loyally yet expanded upon it -- The author NisioisiN had made it clear that he wrote it in a way that it cannot be adapted to anime but could not give praise by how the creative power and deep insight by Shinbo and Shaft managed to make it one of the most successful light novel adaptation of all time.

Shaft is now working on the prequel Kizumonogatari to be released as movie next year -- the relationship between Shinobu, Hanekawa and Araragi will be explored IN DEPTH there. You will see why Araragi said both Hanekawa and Shinobu saved his life but he also saved theirs. If adapted right, Kizu could be an even better anime than Bake because the novel itself is so good - If the first few minutes in Bake Ep.1 is what we can expect for the movie (as it depicts events in Kizu), we will be seeing a great movie being made.

Watched Mawaru Penguindrum episodes 8 and 9 (somehow I missed last weeks episode) and Dantalian no Shoka.

Episode 9 was fantastic. Almost no pengin action at all and even better no Ringo. This was the first episode that really felt like it was living up to all the hype. Best moment was when the pink-haired guy placed the hat on her head. That whole sequence, plus the music that was used was epic.

Episode 8 on the other hand suffered greatly for having been watched second. Everything I dislike about this show was in full effect. Luckily the ending actually worked for me and also managed the almost impossible task of making me feel bad for Ringo. Seeing the younger brother do a dudesault was also pretty boss.

Dantalian no Shoka was great, easily the best episode to date. I just loved the look of this episode. The story was also good and the MC didn't look like a complete tool while reading his magic book like he usually does. The little girl was also tolerable. I didn't feel like slapping her nearly as much as I usually do.

Quite the opposite. I have too little time. I work anywhere from 65-80 hours per week, and if I watch a show that isn't incredible, I feel like I wasted the precious little free time I have. Therefore, something boring becomes a shitty waste of time.

^ I also think that you should have little time, so it was a bit of surprise that you still managed to check out quite a number of anime, including some that according to what I understand about your taste would more likely than not fail to impress you. That's why I wonder you may have too much time at hand recently to spend on anime.

I think whether or not one enjoys Bakemonogatari hinges largerly on what one sees in NisiOisiN's writing. Personally speaking I really liked it in general, though not all of it was solid gold and not all arcs were as good. The snake arc in particular was rather weak affair apart from fuwa fuwari~, gaijin 4koma parody and the ludicruously pornographic final showdown.

Still, it was the Senjougahara relationship that carried the show through bits of story I didn't care for and since that had its big moment in ep 12 it's naturally enough my favourite

****************'

NO.6 ep 10 = oh sweet some good action here ya-

uhh, and that's it.

Usagi Drop ep 10

I really didn't expect this anime to turn me into a bloody shipper but hell yes I'm shipping Daikichi and Yukari full on.

bring on next episode!

Also, it never stops amusing me how big deal flu is in Japan

Watched the first three episodes of Honey and Clove II
Getting a lot of nostalgia from last year (from the show and general life) Some bad, most good. They didn't pull any odd time jumps, thankfully, and the story is just continuing from where it left off. Also it just feels the same (which is good), they didn't try to take it in a whole new direction (yet). Great so far.

I decided to continue riding the nostalgia train and watched 5 Centimeters Per Second again. I usually don't rewatch movies on intentionally. I usually will end up watching something on TV again but not change it because I'm either too lazy or have nothing better to do. If I do rewatch something it's because I enjoyed it that much the fist time. I payed a bit more attention to the scenery this time. It was astoundingly beautiful. Such a sad but amazing movie. Another well deserved 10/10

Kare Kano is another one of those shows I started watching, enjoyed, but still ended up putting it on hold. Every time I remember it I always think,"After this I'll finialy watch it," but I always forget/find something else.

Watched Kami-sama no Memo-chou. It was alright, even if I'd spoiled myself on the ending beforehand. However I can't shake the feeling that when the reason for what happened at the end of this episode is revealed it's going to be rather stupid.

I am literally right now not watching Code Geass: Lelouch of Rebellion...and it's great :]

====================================

I've seen roughly 150 shows now (according to MAL anyway), so I've been rewatching a few to see how much little my tastes have changed:

Myself; Yourself – Typical heart-warming (i.e. boring) shtick, gracefully saved by its inclusion of dark themes.
Macross Plus –It improved with the second viewing. Xard was right. My world is shaken.
Otome Yokai Zakuro – Lots of sparkles and pink, but I still cannot help but love it.
School Days – Now I’m certain- best ending ever. Really.
Koihime Musō trilogy – Large breasts are still large; unpronounceable names are still unpronounceable; guilty pleasure show is still a guilty pleasure.

I’m not a fan of how they fuse at the centre, however.

Finialy got around to Eva Rebuild 2.22
Not exactly what I was expecting but still great. The angle redesigns worked better then I thought they would and they managed to make likeable. I wasn't exactly a fan of the original and never brought it up for fear of flame war
She ... talked a lot more then I expected.

"What pervert designed this thing?"
That's what I was thinking the fist time I saw it.
I prefer the original.

I'll watch Utahime tomorrow, along with some more Honey and Clover II
