I always thought that Simon´s(TTGL) Japanese voice sounded pretty weak in the finale.
That guy needs to learn how to shout properly.

What exactly do you want from a Pokemon dub? Patrick Stewart as Professor Oak??

I'd watch a dub with Patrick Stewart in it. And not for morbid curiosity either.

To be uncensored.
Speaking of which, why is there no decent English release for Pokémon Special? I could only find one scanslation, and it stops after Gold/Silver.

Also, I defend Pokémon's name changes. The majority of them are done in order to translate puns, and the rest are done to match the other names.

God forbid the artistic integrity of Pokemon should be compromised.

And, just so we're clear, I too would watch anything (ANYTHING) with Patrick Stewart in it; my point is, what the hell do you want from fucking Pokemon??

@Tarnsman: Patrick Stewart has actually done a couple anime dubs. He was in the Steamboy dub (which was very good), and the Nausicaa dub (which I haven't seen).

The first season is actually pretty enjoyable...for a kid's show that only has ~3 plots that are recycled across a hundred episode. Well it is in Japanese, I've never seen the 4kids dub.

Watch it! It's surprisingly good compared to how Pokemon Company International is doing with it's piss poor dub of Diamond and Pearl.
NGE was a damned good anime
EoE was an anime masterpiece
And Rebuild is nothing short of epic
Long live the EVAs!!

The first two seasons had fairly good dubs. Too bad the first season is the only one worth watching.

Yeah. But I only like the Pokemon anime for the movies. The movies have an amazing production value! Especially the upcoming 14th!

Yeah... I shouldn't even touch that, should I?

If they did a proper release, I suppose the subtitles could retain the original names, and the dub could have the localized names...

Did you watch it raw or something?

I watched it a bunch of different ways. The first three and half seasons that is. Some hard subbed, some raw, some hard subbed in Portuguese. Basically whatever I found quickest off the internet. It was a bunch of short twenty or so episode marathons followed by long brakes. So I would often forget where I found the last batch and just use Google to find the next.

I do remember it being much easier to find the show in English than in Japanese. But that was like half a decade ago, so for all I know it's really easy to find a high quality release now.

The first season was pretty good and the remaining seasons were not so good. Also Satoshi needed to stop giving away/releasing his damn Pokemon.
