Jack up another thread !!

New "Code Geass" is under production:

ImageImageImage

The title is called "Boukoku no Akito" (Akito who brings his country to ruin) and is labelled as another title in the "Code Geass" series. The implication is that there may be more anime works coming for this series besides this one. And definitely it has not have Lelouch because the description above asked if the new character will top Lelouch's popularity. It also said no more information about this series until fall, so before that just have to wait....

The announcement said that "Code Geass" is a concept and anybody can get the ability of Geass. I am not sure if you know that there were a bunch of spinoff manga on Geass but different cast including one that was set in 19th century Japan! I guess it is to set our expectation characters like Lelouch will not appear although CC is a possibility.

I don't expect much. If they couldn't even be bothered to learn the rules of chess before making the game a plot point in several episodes then there's little hope they will ever go beyond halfassing the entire show.

Well I have seen shows in Japan and China making a mess of the rules of GO, a very Chinese and Japanese game of strategy, though they only lowered my opinions of them slightly. Even more than that my concern is a series united only by the concept of Geass but not any character from the successful anime may be too weak to attract people. But perhaps it can also serve an opportunity to reboot the franchise in a refreshing way.

It better be a refreshing way, taking this in a completely new direction is somewhat hopeful, maybe with a completely new story, and hopefully new writers they'll be able to doa better job with this. The old code geass was one of the most contrived things to ever come out of anime, I really hope they have better writers for the new series.

The first season of Code Geass wasn't bad at all imho, at least they didn't break chess in the first season, or am I wrong? I've only noticed it in the second season, and I had to ask to my little brother for confirmation, I don't know that well the rules of chess myself; well even without considering chess, the second season is completely halfassed (especially the finale, they should have ended it after he stopped his father's plan) but I'd be really happy if they could return to the level of the first season.
So let’s make a wish.

Geass always had a plethora of cheese, a plot that was trying too hard to be clever, ridiculous amounts of overacting (props to Wakamoto for still managing to out ham the entire cast of everyone hamming it up), and a load of random pointlessness. The real difference between season one and season two is, the first season was enjoyable because its execution of all of that worked, the second season was enjoyable because its execution of all of that didn't work.

Suzaku and Lelouch look FABULOUS!

But wait, is this still a confirmed remake, or are we getting a third season here?

The first season was great, the second was complete trash.

Don't think it is a remake, not even a third season, but another entry in "Code Geass" series where the concept of "Geass" ability is the main feature.

Ya im happy with how things ended, Im worried they're gana mess the show up like in eva -.-. EoE was a mistake!!! I don't think it should revolve around Lalouch's child thought, as some of the pictures would suggest. Should be something like the peace is broken and Lalouch has to work in secret to bring peace back. But, at the end of the season he is found out and put in prison or something. Makes for a good next season dosn't it :P
Sorry if my avatar gives you Knightmares. (Pun intended)
