I agree.
"Now, from Nature we obtain abundant information about ourselves, and precious little about others. About the woman you clasp in your arms, can you say with certainty that she does not feign pleasure? About the woman you mistreat, are you quite sure that from abuse she does not derive some obscure and lascivious satisfaction? Let us confine ourselves to simple evidence: through thoughtfulness, gentleness, concern for the feelings of others we saddle our own pleasure with restrictions, and make this sacrifice to obtain a doubtful result." -The Divine Marquis

i'll like it as long as it's better than the second. and battle la, which looked so convincingly awesome in the trailer then turned out to be rather boring. even the actiony bits were dull and too long.

Now I want to see a disaster movie about an explosion devouring the world. And I want it to move like a wall of fire, Independence Day style. It can be co-directed by Bay and Abrams, mainly because I want to see an explosion made entirely of lens flares. It will have no dialogue, when the wall of explosion touches anything, it explodes, the heroes defeat the explosion with more explosions, and most importantly, it'll be 5 hours long.

BEAUTIFUL

I srsly never thought something like lens flares would become sofa king annoying, it is becoming almost as bad as bullet time

but J.J. Abrams somehow matched the annoying bullet time with sh*tty lens flares of all things, he should be very proud [/sarcasm]

But the thing is thought I'm not interested in long movies.

Movies have been slowly getting longer and longer. The average length of a summer blockbuster seems to be closer to 150+ minutes than the 90 - 120 minutes they used to be. Even Transformers 2 was 2 1/2 hours.

Why don't you have it produced by Bay, Bruckheimer, and Spielberg, and co-directed by Snyder, that way it can have tons of over-saturated colors shot entirely on green screen sets and be in slow motion for 3/4 of the film (the other 1/4 of the film being, obviously, twice as fast)?

Oh but wait, why bother with heroes? Let's just have all the characters be explosions. That way the explosions defeat other explosions, and to keep things simple, their lens flairs are different colors. That way you can tell what's what. Big names like Shia LaBeouf and Harrison Ford can star as the explosions. Alongside the deafening roars of the sfx team, the actors can also do their best explosion impressions in the sound studio. Michael Clarke Duncan can voice the biggest explosion that ends the movie.

I like it, but one final thing needs to be tweaked. The final explosion actually needs to be a fusion of four smaller explosions (which are played by Michael Clarke Duncan, James Earl Jones, Morgan Freeman, and Brian Blessed). They fuse into a final explosion, which will then collide with the Gary Oldman/Al Pacino/Michael Ironside HAMsplosion to destroy everything.

Everything, Everywhere Blows up Forever: The Movie. Certainly it would be better than any of Bay's recent works.

I heard this is another clusterfuck coming in at 2 1/2 hours. I can promise you that like the first two, it might have made a solid-if-stupid 100 minute movie.

Can someone get Michael Bay an editor?

I agree. Much of the effects of the faults of the first film were lessened by its typical duration. Bay doesn't need an extra hour of screen time to remind us that he likes lingerie models, helicopters, and explosions.

I thought the biggest problem with the first Transformers Michael Bay film other than the abrupt tone change from the first to second act was the entire third act going on for 30 or 40 minutes when it should have only been 5 to 10 minutes, the movie would have actually been OK then

and yeah, most editors suck in Hollywood today, the balance between the director's wishes versus the producers'/studios' is totally out of whack, either the producer(s)/studio hacks the film up to the point of ruining a film's continuity and pacing or the director stuffs the kitchen sink and everything in the movie and it ends up being two-and-a-half-plus hours long

Yes! Also, have the ultimate autobot come out of a black hole during the explosion!
