[REBUILD] Beautiful World Discussion

The purpose of this video is to display and discuss an interesting thing that happens when you align the vocals for the end credits music of the two Rebuild of Evangelion movies.

So I noticed that the ending theme songs for the Rebuild of Evangelion movies, "Beautiful World" by Utada Hikaru, sync up perfectly. They appear to use the same vocal performance by miss Utada; but the instrumentation has such a different feel that I wanted to see what happened when they were synched perfectly.

Naturally, I needed some kind of visual to go with the music, so I chose this fantastic AMV, linked in the info pane.

I anticipate that in the third and forth films we will once again see use of the same vocal performance with different instrumentation, and that layering all four of this songs may produce something interesting.

Sounds allright.It kinda sounds like echoing because of combining the two songs.But it's pretty good though.

Kind of reminds me of how there were 26 different versions of the closing song in the series. 4 different versions of the same end song in movies would be annoying, but nostalgic.

It's really an interesting effect listening to both at the same time. The AMV itself is nice, I like it.

And I can't help but wonder mixing ALL 4 VERSIONS (if Rebuild indeed goes that way) would sound like.

Oh dear... I almost wonder how they'll remix it if they do indeed go with 2 other remixes... I almost feel like there'll be a piano or an orchestra in one of them...
