Salutations everyone. It probably doesn't speak very well of me to have my first post on the forum be some blatant self-promotion - sorry! :blush: - but I nonetheless hope that you all find some new content interesting.

To that end - an AMV for an anime that won't be released for over a year... have I hit a record?

For a little scarce sliver of video, the recent Rebuild 3.0 announcement was astonishingly effective. Sparking with more energy than a hundred frenetic quick-cuts mainly due to a good choice of shot - EVA-02 hurtling like a rocket and spinning like a dynamo, delirious and delightful, had such energy that it caused the idea for this video to spring out very much fully formed.

Please enjoy, and criticisms are always seriously considered.

I'm glad you liked my editing; I try to weave a story/narrative/theme into my works, so it's satisfying to know some of it came through even with a different music selection. If I may ask, what song did you play instead? I'd synced the cuts specifically to the Rise Against song, so I'm interested in how it interacted with the music you chose.

Speaking of Rammstein, I came across an vintage video while browsing Shadowjack's video recommendation threads:

One of my suitemates is a Rammstein fan, and I wasn't so hot on their style... Maybe because the songs were half-heard through a wall.

Now that I had a familiar context to connect it with, though, I kinda liked it... I checked out other Rammstien-related videos on YouTube, developed a taste for it, and now I'd say I'm a Rammstein fan. :)

If you'd wanted to make it "funny," you could've used Black!Hyuga from EoE in the Nick Fury voice-overs. :lol:

I (Don't) Need You

A live action interpretation of certain AxS scenes, my only complaint is that they both look kind of fat at times, and Shinji looks a little old.

Otherwise, it does a good job in giving an idea of what these scenes might look like in reality.

True, i think Shinji needed a more child-like or innocent look if that makes sense, then again i'm not entirely sure if it's possible to bring a good or similar Shinji on live-action :chinscratch:
