I have, by no means, the stylistical fidelity and Photoshop skills you're requiring for the best upcoming of your project . However: I LOVE what you're doing, at least regarding your filling up the gaps within EoE. I'll certainly keep an eye for updates, be it here or at your site.

Looks more like Greek, they had a thing for naked men with erect penis on their pottery. The Romans and Byzantines mostly had clothed men. Ironically in most Greek depictions of women they where clothed, there were a few exceptions.

Greek indeed... and good points! (the kouros was, indeed, normally naked, wereas the kore was dressed)

However, the guy was initially going to be a satyr (thus the erection and weird ears) but that was somehow left aside. The terms "erastes" and "eromenos" meant to play a bit with their role in greek (mostly but not exclusively homosexual) love relationships.

I am totally in love with everyone's posts in this thread. I am a newcomer to this board (long time lurker) but I finally actually did some Eva related artwork recently.



As I am a quality nerd, I made this ridiculously large. The file is about 24"x30" @ 600dpi. Which for those who don't speak pixels is just effin' overkill really.

I am slowly, slowly, working on a Unit-01 image as well, but my real life job as a photographer keeps me pretty busy.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy and I would love any feedback too!

Colored with greyscale and red copics. Was hoping to make this in to a print but then I never really finished it, and I don't really like Rei all that much anyway. :( So now it lays around being useless.
