there are only 2 ways i would ever cosplay.
1-look exactly like the charactor or close to.
2-cosplay as some ond who wears a mask, like a storm trooper or al from fullmetal alchemist.

I think if i lost about 65 pounds i could do Shinji, maybe gendo.

God i hate man faye.

At my university we have our own special version of man-faye, we have Sailor Bob, he's fat, has a beard, and dresses like a woman. This is the reason I'd never join the cosplayer's club.

I would even say she's hot but I would feel creepy if she's under 18...

I'm thinking of cosplaying Leliel.

...

No, I don't mean I'm going to make myself a huge black and white ball. I figured, if people can use cats and cosplay a catgirl/boy, and dogs, etc, why not an Angel? It's not going to be that great, just something I'm gonna throw together for an extra night time cosplay at Amecon. (Under 4 weeks now. <3)

It'll involve a white shirt, buttoned up, with a larger black shirt over it, but open so you can see the white one. Black trousers, white socks, and black shoes. I'm going to try to get ahold of either two matching white gloves, (Maybe from a wedding shop or something.) or one white and one black. Whatever is easier really. I'll wear a cross, and probably write some sort of random quote on the gloves or my skin. (Like Hellsing. 'Jesus Christ is in Heaven'.) Something biblical, or a small quote from the series.

Angelboy cosplay. XD

I dunno...I've enver cosplayed before...but I don't really like it..I like the idea of getting to know all these other people though..making jokes, friends and all that other stuff is cool...But the dressing up...I just dont know..

The only thing I can probably see myself dressingup as on like Halloween maybe would be a cool Vash costume...or something with like a cape (or cloak...) and all black and red maybe something like what Vincent has..

theres other stuff...but I retain them within limits

It *looks* like Jan Kurotaki (spelling?) of Animerica and Newtype USA fame, but don't quote me on that.

And, yes, that Asuka cosplayer does look cute. ^_^

Does anyone know an easy but nice-looking way to make Asuka's hairclips?
I want to cosplay as her for Halloween (probably gonna wear some clothes that look similar to something she wore in the show) but I'm not sure how to make her hair things...

I've cosplayed as the Pretty Guardian version of Sailormoon before, but my mom and stepmom had to help me with the costume. ^^;
Yours truly when I went to AX 04 (my first and only Con so far! >_< But at least I got to go to Anime Fusion Tour, too...):

some people are born with curly hair.

I once dressed up as a Japanese school girl (someone said Sasaki), and that was the last time I'll ever put on a costume.

Fortunately, there were no pictures taken that halloween, as it was quite embarrasing and I have no idea how I got talked into it. If you can picture a real life Sasaki (from Azumanga Daioh), with my face and wearing glasses, you're not that far off the mark. Unlike other guys that dressed up as girls, I ended up looking remarkably female and was the only one at the party that was mistook as one.

And a side note: skirts are surprisingly comfortable.

A sudden discovery? Mooching around wearing non-bifurcated garments -- dressing gown/yukata/towel tied around the waist -- should give the idea.

By your account, your cross-play seems to have been remarkably successful. Now all you need to to is cultivate sufficient sublime self-assuredness (or at least the typical geeky "I neither know nor care what you think." attitude) to deflect any embarrassment onto other people.

It's easier in "dress-up" situations -- I never quite get around to getting myself one of these, even though I know it would be more comfortable in summer weather.

I tried cosplay 2 days ago...i dont feel ashamed but i dont feel comfortable
either. It's strange.I sat infront of my closet mirror and tried to vision my self as a charactor and could only think of myself as Shinji so i pulled some old cloths together and made the best default Shinji i could and was supprised.

Imagine a Shinji with a patch of hair on his chin and fatter and you got me!I seriously got the hair rockin like his and i didnt have to do anything to it.Im going through an experamental phase with this...its differnt.
