Digibro put out a very nice and very honest discussion/examination of Anno's whole career. I highly recommend you all watch it.

Digibro? The only thing I recall him doing was making pretentious redditesque anime review videos and putting in a mention of Merri in his Kaiba review.

He barely mentions 3.0 in this. . . I wonder if he'll ever do an analysis of it and examine it through Anno's psyche.
Anyways, I watched the short film about finding a seat on the train. Hilarious and fast paced.

He's somewhat funny to watch in a superficial and vaguely entertaining manner, but i don't make myself any illusions about the Reddit-tier of his opinions. His critical observations are extremely superficial and just what i'd expect of a geek. The way he presents his arguments isn't particularly deep either. He's just some dude who kinda has something to say and knows the basic of how to say it, but that's about it really.
SPOILER: Show
GoatJesus is way funnier, anyhow

Re: Digibro's "Who Is Hideaki Anno?"
I love this video. I love everything about it. I have to disagree with Dream, because pretty much every other internet personality I'm aware of sees Anno as a master troll who hates his fans and wants to piss them off, using aspects of Evangelion that they don't like as proof. This guy does enough research that I find his conclusion much, much, muchmuchmuch more believable. It's also more consistent with Evangelion as I've experienced it.
Re: Digibro's "Who Is Hideaki Anno?"
I gotta agree. I really don't get the negativity, Dream; this seems like an insightful and frank assessment of Anno's work, and I don't see anything terribly superficial about it. Why pan it when he took the time to do his research and state things as plainly and honestly as possible?

People's deaths are to be mourned. The ability to save people should be celebrated. Life itself should be exalted. -- Volken Macmani, Tatakau Shisho: The Book of Bantorra
I hate myself. But maybe I can learn to love myself. Maybe it's okay for me to be here! That's right! I'm me, nothing more, nothing less! I'm me. I want to be me! I want to be here! And it's okay for me to be here! -- Shinji Ikari, Neon Genesis Evangelion
Yes, I know. You thought it would be something about Asuka. You're such idiots.
