If that actually would happen, I shall buy a PSP for the sole reason to play it.

The big question is - will this version be in English?

The PSP looks like a clever little machine.
The reason I haven't bought one yet is that none of the current games on it look very interesting.

But, as I said, If Eva comes out on it, I'll buy one.

As a veteran of Love Hina Advance, the big question for me is does it matter?

Well, given the background level of grumbles that there have been about the original being in Japanese only, the benefit from my PoV would be to avoid the inevitable resurgence of same.

although it would be nice to have an english version, i doubt it.
one good thing though is that like a gameboy, the psp is region free and needs no modifications to play games from Japan.
even with my extremely limited knowledge of Japanese, i still intend to buy this game. You know, shits and giggles.

I don't know. I just checked Gainax's site and says nothing about a PSP game. What it did show up was that there will be a a remake of GoS (the first one) for PS2, and it says to include new scenarios, new 3d CG and 5.1 sound.

From what I've heard NGEII isn't really a great game?

Now if they could just do an English version or Eva 2 for the PS2, it would be perfect.

This still doesn't change the fact that we'll NEVER get an Eva game in English.

We actually came close to getting a "game"... but then ADV pulled the plug on the RPG books that Guardians of Order was working on.

Alas...

I'm sure the chances of getting an Eva are much, much higher since it is debuting on [as]. The Full Metal Alchemist Games were released here, so there might be a chance for an Eva game to be brought over here.
I can only take so much retarded.

I think Evangelion II for the PSP might have a language option, because this person I know [Can't really call him a friend... He's a dirty bastard.] got a PSP from Japan because his sister or someone, bought it for him from Japan and sent it here, with Ridge Racer for the PSP.
Ridge Racer had a Japan Region coding, as did the PSP, and there was a language option for it.
So, there could be a translated EVA game after all?

that's true! i've got a Japanese PSP and the console itself asks you what language you want everything to be in, before anything else. taking this on board, it likely that it would play an english language version of the Japanese game........but this is merely an hypothesis. the sound would likely be in jap still......but we can always hope it is released in english.

I highly doubt an American release.
Neon Genesis Evangelion was never released for the N64, so why now the PSP?
