Komm, Susser Tod - Who is Arianne?

I remember there was a rumor(?) that Arianne did sing techno type songs, but somehow I have a hard time believing this is really her.

I mean, even Claire http://www.youtube.com/user/clairelittley was aware that she sang an ending song for (to quote her Youtube or MySpace page) a "manga, Evangelion" although she admitted she has't seen it.

Over 15 years is a long time especially if you work from job to job, but...yeah.

If it really is Arianne, awesome I guess, but I'm not sure what to think... >_> Considering how EYED is a personal favorite Eva song of mine (Komm Susser Tod is awesome too.)

Searching for "Arianne Schreiber" on Youtube only results in some Techno things and no personal account.

Nobody said she was lying, but the fact it was 15+ years ago and she currently doesn't have a proper venue (such Youtube, though Facebook works too but there are A LOT of fake celebrity accounts on online websites!) to establish herself does seem somewhat strange. She doesn't even have any examples of her voicework like something on a youtube video or whatever else, most singers will have something on their page to showcase their work.

And from what I've seen, usually (but not always of course) people will try to maintain a slightly professional air when dealing with fans which is why the tone of her replies come off as a somewhat strange as well.

Besides, our wiki for the longest time had said that Arianne's last name was possibly Schreiber, so this does confirm it, I suppose.

it's 2011

sure, Komm Susser Tod is an iconic song, but it's not like We Will Rock You, Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2 or Enter Sandman in which EVERYONE had heard it at one point

plus, it was a song in an anime movie which a good portion of the world public probably hasn't seen, so it's forgivable if she did in fact forgot she participated in the making of the song

Most professional musicians do a lot of work for hire, since most bands never really become super-profitable. The entire thing might have taken less than a day of her time nearly fifteen years ago. And the way she delivered the lyrics never sounded like a native English maker to me. Why don't we see what other samples of her voice are out there and do some comparisons?

Okay, thanks, I'll update her wiki page accordingly.

Listening to her electrionica music (eg, this, ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNtZlvGtVaA )and yeah, it's sounds like her. I sent her a message of my own chatting a little about NGE, if she says anything interesting I'll mention it on here.

I know somebody who mentioned her Facebook a page or two back said they were too shy to do it, and in general people weren't certain what her last name was. I guess that's why.

Amazing that (at least, from the looks of it) we have found her! Kudos, guys! Her band iCon is actually very cool to my taste and at the risk of using more, um, vulgar I guess, words, she is beautiful.

I was about to say my golden ears can definitely confirm that the girl singing those Rocky tunes is definitely her but looks like I've been beat to it.

But hey. THESE EARS MAN.

Though i don't really like the arrangements on the rocky songs.

Speaking of, Arianne on FB confirmed that the Rocky Horror songs were indeed her.

Lets face it she could appear at just about any venue or any size in Japan and once she started to sing a few notes of KST the place would erupt.

No, not erupt: They would all turn into orange liquid goo... Arianne can cause Third Impact to happen at any moment. All she has to do is sing KST (or Everything Yu've Ever Dreamed) then; *ploosh* goes the world.

Why do you think she stayed in hiding so long? Well, not technically hiding but eh...

I think it was just one project of many without any personal significance. She didnt go into hiding or anything, she just moved on to other assignments. Being a professional singer is like that. Besides the song is associated with Eva, not her specifically.

Not many singers just disappear out of the music scene entirely - its not stardom or nothing.
