Hahaha!
You foolish fool, the glossy finish is one of the reasons I like Revos more than RD's...

That pic is incorrect anyway, Unit-01 was skewered through the back, not the front.

I would recomend any spray paint intended for hand crafts and a flat coat on top, it brings out details instead of obscuring it like the gloss finish does
glossy paint is also thicker than flat paint and may make the pegs of revo joints too thick to go bank into its hole
My models I painted with gloss finishes craked with large variations in temperature
go with flat not with gloss unless you have enamel or lacer paints

Hmmm, little figures and spray paint.... doesnt seem like a good idea unless sprayed in a cup and dipped into with a brush. I don't intend to paint the joints themselves by the way

The pegs... The part of the joint that you don't see...
Paint it... Hmmm...
Interesting... NOT!
It's obvious you don't do that, besides, it's not like RD or EvaEvos have details small enough to be buried in paint...

Eva 03 and the soon to be Eva 04 arrived earlier today (more like I was at the post office when they opened to recieve them)...
Started the painting process, so far, the arms and hands are done... However, the silver I used on the last one is missing (stupid chaneques), so today after work I'm going for a new bottle to finish it today at nigth (and maybe go blind for small-crafting with artificial ligth)...
I'll see to post tomorrow the video review of Eva 03... Not as bad as you said (except for the extending arms)... The way the mouth opens is great... Another reason for me to like it more than RD...
And finally, I was thinking on making a new cover for the Eva 04: since the box still reads "Eva 03", I thougth about printing a new box art on sticker paper...
Any sugestions on what brilliat moment of it's less than 2 minute video portay?

Nah I was just prefer to use a brush over spray paint, since I am in fact, an artist (paint, pencil, charcoal, da works). The masking tape didnt cross my mind .... anyhow are there any paint brands you'd suggest? I like the glossy finish btw.
@Arael: Did you buy two Eva Evo 03's so you can paint one in 04's colors?

hey,Im an artist too, but I wouldnt suggest hand brushing large areas, only small details
as for spray paints brands, I hear many good things about Rustoleum paints but I only have found white primer from them here in Mexico
I use Comex paints, they are good but not the best
If you really want the best paints try to find Tamiya paints, there are great even when hand brused
hope this helps

You're a big help macrochaos, thanks! I'm not familiar with paints for painting models and plastic :/ Thanks again!
@Arael: Wow, brilliant! Never would have thought of that. Lol
