Ah ok...oh and I have a question..where can we get Die Sterne? Cuz on Amazon.ca ...it's only in French

And on Amazon.com it's in Japanese..and it's unavailable..So i don't know where to get it...and sorry for positng this here, it's just that I don't want to create a thread just to ask about the thing and thats it..

Oh and if it's just pictures, does that mean there would be no writing? or aren't there comments under the pics or at the back of the book?

There's info on every pic included, where it was first published and stuff like that. And in 'Die Sterne', of course, who drew it. I want that info pretty badly, so I'd prefer an english version too.

Not necessary, Reichu has already done a big ass table thingy with all that info. PM her for a link.

So, it doesnt matter what book we get if you're going to refer to that table anyways?

Wow, cool. I should thank Reichu!

Found it myself
http://www.evacommentary.org/omake/die-sterne/die-sterne.html

I mentioned that I had been downloading a lot of those books (bad me I guess) and trying to structure up an archive of all the official Evangelion artwork I could find. This helps a whole lot =)

Well, since I had pre-ordred the book a while ago...I got it before they officially shipped it to my store...and I must say:

It's Beautiful! It's big too! I can't give exact dimensions but really big.

I just love looking at those pictures..they're cool! =D

You should buy it if you wanna have this great beautiful book full of Eva art and sadamoto's other works. or just get it for the sake of having it!

I got the book today, I was tempted to buy it yesterday in Forbidden Planet and cancel my Amazon order because I was told it had been delayed. However in FP it was £17 and on Amazon it was £11 so I refrained then when I got home it had been dispatched.

I've flicked through it once and the artwork is awesome, which is pretty much expected. I'd definately recomend it to an Eva fan or anyone really.

I keep a running record in my head. (Accordingly, whatever's on my HD probably makes sense only to me.)

I own a number of NGE books, so I've been able to download many scans with a clean conscience.

Pre-order for $25?!?! That's bull! Got mine for $50 back a few years ago. I got Die Stern at KumoriCon on like, September 5th or 6th for only $40-ish so I'm happy. I gots'em both!

Must keep my Evangelion collection growing.

I just ordered my copy at amazon.com. Amazon sells for about $16.50, plus free shipping if your order is over $25.

Can't wait to get the book. Now if they can just translate the Kaji 2015 book...

Most, if not all, of the Japanese text in the book is also present in English. The translations can be sorta dodgy at times ("Replenishment" instead of "Instrumentality", for example...), but it seems pretty adequate. You would just need to secure yourself a copy of the book.

It's an okay book. The only things to discover here are a few renderings from Nadia, Fatal Fury, and some other stuff I don't think I knew about (a Clapton cover, for one). It's a good value for anyone interested in obtaining hard copies of Evangelion images they already have on their hard drives in forty different sizes. I definitely would not have bought it had it cost its original price.

Received my copy today. Quite beautiful really, the color really comes out in the illustrations. The hardbound also increases the value and wearability, and at the price I paid, it's an incredible deal.

I'd say it's the ultimate Otaku Coffee Table book, if Otakus had coffee tables.

I've bought die sterne in mangastore(french site) site and what would be the difference between the french version and the english..... there's as good as no text lol :D. It cost like 22 for the book + 15 delivery cost (good thing that i bought more books together so that the delivery cost stayed the same at 15 euros, those books were the "big book of evangelion "," Die sterne"," Der mond").

Kinda proud on those books but together with the shipping fee it costed like 80 euros :D.
even if you have nothing left, just try to smile.
Even Goku smiles when he's about to die:D
