Not that the toys mean anything but interesting to see these apparently Rebuild figures have little Ramiel's (Rei) and a little...Israfel? Not confirmation she's in the film but interesting nonetheless.

We haven't seen Touji in a plug suit eithier. Not that it means anything.

Curiously the only one we have seen in a plug suit are Asuka and...Kaworu.

The picture Lagann linked to is indeed products from the Petit Eva range - there's been a bunch of larger Petit Eva figures coming out as of late - these "R-Style" figures follow the Deformani (Deformation Maniacs) sets. I've been waiting since the DS game featured Mari to see Petit Eva release a figure of her :) Right, [/off-topicness].

The news tidbit about the new Revoltech Evas and the ensuing runaway discussion about Eva-05 hath been split off due to my pathological desire for order. I couldn't separate the more straightforward stuff on the figurines themselves from everything else, unfortunately.

Its been a long while since we had an update on the new Rebuild of Evangelion revoltech figures. Anyways i believe their due to be released tommorow. I managed to find some new magazine scans that compares previous releases of Revoltech Unit 01 to the new Eva 2.0 coming out tommorow.

Also some new shots of the other evas and a new shot of Eva Unit 03 crawling in that Bardiel pose. Too bad he still doesn't come wth stretchy arms. Though the new articulation in the legs and feet allow him to do a somewhat convincing pose.

Also it seems that some select stores in Japan have the new revoltechs displayed and presented in bins. Gives a chance for collectors to play around with them before buying them. Nice!

About that though. That Eva Unit 04 isn't a Rebuild revoltech release and still utilizes the old Revoltech joints. Another cheap cash in on the Pachinko Eva game i guess.....

I think you're just getting confused by the fact that the nose plate is black here. (Glad they fixed that. Last pics that were posted, in some other thread, it was incorrectly silver, like old-school Eva-04.)

I know it's common for Eva toys to have accessories they never had in the show, so why is it hard to shake off hope that there's a reason Unit 04 has that big ol' shield?

The shield ?first appeared with the original Kaiyodo Eva-04. In "CR NGE: Final Messenger", Eva-04 is carrying it during the reenactment of the 1.0 Ramiel fight.

I've got the three widely-available Evas (01, 02, 05) on pre-order, and it says they don't come out 'till mid-June...
