This episode was fairly mediocre, imo. First half relied too much on Transformers nostalgia, not enough on actual humor - it had its moments, though (Bayformers, Brief's speech, their inability to remember their incantation). Second half was okay and stuck to what Gainax does best, didn't have much on Les Diaboliques, though.

Also, does the fact that Brief was bidding at the end mean that Panty and Stocking actually did lose their...uh...weapons? Cause if so, the Demon Sisters should be delivering a beatdown presently.

Apparently panty can turn any piece of underwear covering a persons genitals into a gun (see the underwear episode) it's most likely the same for stocking.

The translation should probably be "Transwhoremers", not "Transhomers", right? I realized that would make more sense a couple of hours after watching it. I know "ho" is slang for "whore", but "whore" works much better as a pun.

Interestingly, judging by the meaning of "Special Administrative Region", it does appear that there's an alternate world history in Panty & Stocking and Daten City is a region of the United States that was owned by Japan and which isn't controlled extensively by the U.S. government.

I absolutely loved this episode, especially Optimus Panty and Stockingtron. Although the Panty robot sex scene was rather disturbing. The references were absolutely perfect. They even threw in Unicron at the end.

The second part of this episode was okay. Lots of fanservice, but not extremely funny.

I love this, and the scriptwriters know damn hard how to make our childhoods a LOT MORE FUNNY, especially that they took Transformers and created a superb parody, while at the same time with Brief questioning the logic of those two robot factions fighting over for no good reason.

Now I have seven episodes in my drive.
