I’ll never be able to look at a wall the same way ever again. :stars:

Seriously though, there have been some really nice pics posted in this thread recently.

Catching birds with your bare hands? I assume you are a nature spirit. Your real body's a tree or you live inside a shrine or something.

^^ He actually is cool with that kinda thing. He was raised by himself, so he doesn't have a lot of the annoying features of cats. Hell, his meow sounds more like the squeaky bathroom door than a cat. lol

^ Close, though I do turn into this at twilight

That sounds a lot better then our cat; we’ve had her for years and she still doesn’t trust us.

This is me.

Image

I have my fan pressed up against my ear like a boom-box and the lighting is terrible because I broke one of those spiral light-bulbs while trying to twist it out of the socket. They're structurally unsound, I tell you. In any case, I love any picture of myself where my eyes are empty sockets of hollow darkness. I find that it brings out the decay in my soul, or some vague hyperbolic crap that only sounds good in my imagination.

Unfortunately, you can't really tell how do-able I am in the picture, so here's me from a few months ago.

Image

My hair was longer and I was a bit heavier. I think I had a blue flashlight pointing at my face just off camera. I personally don't like it, for I look vaguely emo. I've learned, as adolescence draws to its close, that it's better to keep my emotions inside of me and let them fester. It is both far more respectable and masculine. Anything I feel must be reduced to a dull ache, which I will later indifferently describe in text. Ah yes, life is wonderful. A shame it took me so long to figure it out.

I should also go find my various kitties, so I can hop on the pussy display bandwagon. It sounds like a marvelous bandwagon to be on. But maybe later, for now I am off to a doubtlessly dreary and dreamless sleep.
"Now, from Nature we obtain abundant information about ourselves, and precious little about others. About the woman you clasp in your arms, can you say with certainty that she does not feign pleasure? About the woman you mistreat, are you quite sure that from abuse she does not derive some obscure and lascivious satisfaction? Let us confine ourselves to simple evidence: through thoughtfulness, gentleness, concern for the feelings of others we saddle our own pleasure with restrictions, and make this sacrifice to obtain a doubtful result." -The Divine Marquis

Mari, I think that's been the teenage pose ever since they started making cameras that small. It is a time-honoured tradition.

Mugwuuump, pose exactly like your avatar. Get a scarf and stuff. You already have the dramatic lighting down.

Hmm, I do remember me posting pictures of my neighborhood following some severe flooding, but I can't recall if I actually posted any pictures of myself.

Well, I'm one of the people who likes to think he's Andy Warhol and blast intense light on myself while taking a picture and then turn into some "pop-art-ish" stuff.

This is one of my more recent photos that I played around with. I'd post the stuff from my prom but I'm wayyyy too self-conscious for that.

Image

For the life of me, still photography always gets the best of me. I can make films with relative ease, and my student productions have been praised immensly in regard to framing and composition, but my still photos, especially of myself tend to be made of shit and fail....

I suppose I prefer the moving image.

I think I do remember using the red one when I ragelulzed at the film thread one time, though...

Orientals (Siamese, Burmese, all the derived breeds like Tonkinese,...) have a coat colour gene that correlates pigment with temperature of the skin -- cooler extremities colour more strongly than the warmer body.

Is really dark the same thing as dramatic?

Somehow another synonym of dark and dramatic is "low-key". At least when referring to lighting.
