My avatar is of Roast Beef, from the webcomic, Achewood. The best webcomic I've ever read, but sadly has gone into what seems a permanent hiatus.

Changed to something more appropriate, that is to say until i'm bored of it, then i'll probably wear Klan Klang again.

I misread Klan Klang as Klux Klan. I feel dirty now...

Actually, thinking about it, you should probably scratch what i said about her being whiny. It's true that she doesn't handle things in the best way possible and that she's a bit of a crybaby, as well as not taking things seriously and having curious priorities, but most if not all of that can be chalked up to her being a teenager rather than any aspect of her personality. Plus she seems to get more competent with time.

Also, out of curiosity, is the surprise partly because i said that in a NGE forum? :P

Not really, I just get a little shocked when somebody says something bad about Sailor Moon. It was a big part of my childhood and even now I still want to ignore it´s flaws.

I see. To be fair, i personally don't think that saying the main character being unlikeable or whiny is necessarily a critique of the series as long as that is the intent. You're not really suppose to empathize with Light in Death Note, and Shinji is pretty certainly whiny (although he has a lot of reasons to be) and no, i'm not referring to pretty much anything related to him as a pilot. And to be fair, i think a lot of the flaws i wrote about in the anime thread can easily stop feeling as flaws when you remember what the origins of the series were. I'm not sure if i can relate to feeling strongly about a childhood series since i never had one, though.

SuperS needs more love.

Oh man, i thought when you said SuperS you meant SailorStarDust  :sweatdrop:

Are they Eva fans? They look like Kaji and Asuka.

That's strange; to me he was perhaps the most relatable fictional character of all.

I was able to relate to him up until Vol. 9. At that point, he was just, well, not likable.

Well he can be pretty sympathethic at first even if you don't really share his view of the world, but i think some time after L enters the scene he seems to completely lose his shit. Using the Death Note as his weapon in his and L's battle of wits, murdering public figures and other relatively innocent people just because they get in the way of his agenda, etc.

His "deranged, composed genius" demeanor and perfect poker face/pretension skills are pretty cool too.
