Does the MAGI system has souls?

I'm wondering if the MAGI system, that apparently was set up with Dr. Akagi senior's neural engrams, has a soul or souls.
Especially after Dr. Akagi senior's demise that possibility would open itself.

I'm interested in your thoughts and speculations on that matter.

Given that there are multiple MAGI installations across the various NERV locations, and in Tokyo-3 all three are running Naoko Akagi engrams, I suspect none of them are ensouled.

Why would the Magi system have a soul? The reason Evas have them is related to their specialized functions -- so that they can generate A.T. Fields to fight the Angels and, eventually, carry out HIP. A supercomputer's purpose is to, well, be a supercomputer, not engage the Angels directly in combat. If Gehirn/Nerv had planned for a contingency where the Magi system could fight off an Angelic invader with its own ATF, episode 13 would have played out much, much differently.
