I don't think he's old enough. If the aim is to have a boring old teacher like in the series, it's not as funny if the actor's too young. (And it's not really a cameo unless the person is either really famous or has something to do with the original series.)

I had to go to IMDB to find out who he was. It's a cast role when an actor makes an appearance; a cameo means I wouldn't have to do a search.

I've been thinking of ones for Ritsuko for a while now....all I've come up with is Angelina Jolie, but I know you're all gonna hate that. (I just thought, the face, and her appearance in the first episode. Plus AJ does look great with blonded hair (Gone in 60 seconds)).

Besides, she's not that high profile. But she's high profile enough for a few people to see films she's in. If you were to have a big name in it, that's the sort you want.

* Fuyutsuki - Ian McKellen (got the acting skills, got the age, go the eyes)
* Ritsuko - Cate Blanchett (got the eyes (green), got the hair, got the look, got the skills)

* Shinji - Daniel Radcliffe (hell no, too Harry-associated, too old, too so-close-yet-so-far-therefore-annoying)
* Asuka - Hillary Duff (as above, and just annoying)

The list is incomplete, but that's what I'm certain about, for now. If I come across any one that just hits me, I'll let you know.
