Yoshi announced that next XIV Expansion will be at Fan Fest, I worry that the next expansion will follow the same content cycle as ARR and HW. Mostly because:

I have learned that most XIV players are absolutely awful at this game.WIPING City still takes over an hour to do because ignoring mechanics and people are STILL trying to sneak into Nidhogg Ex final phase progression groups in order to get a carry. Some days I get so frustrated at the complete lack of common gaming sense these players lack and just get on WoW. Yoshi has effectively babied the entire community the state of the future of this game worries me if content difficulty continues to be held back because of this. I don't want to sound like an elitist, but it's incredibly disheartening when you tell someone one three times "Don't look at Frontal Facade/Affeared" or "Stand on the bosses flank for Hot Tail" and they're all like "Okay" and the first thing they do is the exact opposite of what you tell them.

Because the gameplay is repetitive, the story always follow the same formula(you're a special snowflake that goes into an adventure with other special snowflakes when you find that you're special by the village's elder and by the middle of the adventure you find that the 1st villain was possessed by the 2nd villain and you go by the ''the sidequest ship'' and when you beat all the sidequest you find the final boss),the characters are meh,the graphics and OSTs are incredible tho.Again, the only FF that I enjoy are Tactis and 9.

So, supposedly FFXV is getting delayed AGAIN: http://gematsu.com/2016/08/rumor-final- ... ovember-29

Just two months though. Honestly, I wasn't really paying attention before, and I had already thought the game was coming out around November, so this doesn't bother me at all. Between this game, KH3, and Eva 3.0+1.0, I have definitely learned the virtue of patience.

Hasn't been confirmed yet, although it seems to be a the consensus for a lot of XV fans.

Forgot about this thread, in other news related to this game. The Kingsglavie moive is showing this week on Friday August 19, and Square did release a list of theaters that can be found here.

Three new trailers were also released today for Kingsglaive.

Release the Demon - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DxSmP-7GSk
Secure the Wall - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fEEymj9WduA

Also this beautiful music video for the game.

Is anyone going to see Kingsglaive on friday? Since I moved to Florida I live an hour away from Disney Springs and fully plan on seeing it. I'm very hype and I'm going with my brother who has been waiting for this game since 8th grade (we are seniors now) and my sister.

I work at Magic Kingdom, so I'm only half an hour away from DTD, plan on seeing it after work Friday.

Also I refuse to believe the click-bait rumors until SE themselves announce the delay. The whole Uncovered event revolved around the release date, and the joke date even stopped on November, Gamestop employees have gone on saying there has been no announcement on a delay for XV. This is just some news-thirsty gaming sites trying to stir the controversy to garner views.

Just when I had boarded the hype train and everything -- and planned my purchases until September 30 around it.

On the plus side, this means two more months to save money, meaning I won't have to save as much each month to make sure I have enough (to afford both a PS4 and the game).

Strangely enough, the 30 of September would have been the worst possible date for me, as I'll be extremely busy, whereas I don't have lots to do at the beginning of December. So, basically that's good for me.

The only thing, that makes me kinda mad is, that I've now bought a PS4 (because it was 300 Euros instead of 400), but don't really need it until the end of October, when The Last Guardian gets released. And now, with the NEO version just around the corner, I get the feeling, it was a bad idea to scarf up on this sale.

Kingsglaive looks pretty amazing, surprisingly enough.

I figured this would be true since Square didn't immediately deny it. I'm on the other side of the fence in that September was the perfect time for me, but the new date is almost as bad as can be. I'm going away for school again, and this will fall into the beginning of exams and then having to come for Christmas break, and leaving my ps4 behind. I have ones I could borrow but I won't be able to beat it before I go back, unless I ignore my friends and family during December, and I'm not kind of nerd who prioritizes games over family.

So this could be more like a delay till January for myself. But at least they aren't going down the Ubisoft route of just releasing unfinished bullshit.

I think so too. It's kind of annoying, yes - especially considering how big a deal they made the announcement of the release date, but playing a unfinished game would be much worse, imo.

Ya, I bet there are a lot of VERY unhappy people at the top of the Square corporate ladder because of this.

And that's why I'm not clicking that link! Nope nope nope!

*resists*

I've got so many other games to play anyway. Let's talk about things we can do to occupy the time left until the release FFXV! Yeah, that's it!

... :crybaby:

I really was pretty damn hyped to play this at the end of September.

I'm also upset at the lack of female characters in the party, but not for the same reasons. The group is boring as it is, and needs more variety. Even Kingdom Hearts had a more interesting party, and that consisted of only one original character.

I've seen quite a few of these online now:

Real Reason for FF XV Delay:
"We're afraid of Persona 5, so we'll wait a few extra months and in the meantime polish our graphics some more"

And I can't say I don't somewhat agree with that statement lol!
--
As for Kingsglaive, saw it yesterday. Very pretty movie. Would have been a solid film worth owning if it wasn't for the crazy random overabundance of shit they threw in it. Too over the top. But a good time if you turn off your brain and just enjoy the action ^_^

I seriously wish people stopped trying to pit titles like these against each other. I understand Persona is pretty big in Japan, but Persona sales outside Japan are niche levels at best. As if SE is really afraid of something like that competing against Final Fucking Fantasy. That survey question after the launch of Duscae was mostly aimed at Japanese fans and has little to no relevance in the west.
