I'm sure the franchise will continue, even if it no longer bears the "Solid" suffix and isn't directed by Kojima. Raiden's the only logical choice of established characters to carry on with the series, but they'd probably rather add a new character into the spotlight to start another series of games. Metal Gear Plasma? Metal Gear Bose-Einstein Condensate?

As a huge fan of the games(and I have no problem saying that MGS2 is my favorite) I've got this game pre-ordered, and I can't wait for it. Early reviews look amazing, and to be honest, the gameplay doesn't have to be stellar, as long as it delivers on the plot.

I heard they'll let you pause the game during some of the marathon cut scenes. Marathon cut scenes could be good or bad. I'll have the game this Thursday, but I'm not playing it until I get an actual HDTV because this game deserves nothing better than HD. . . . . . and I don't own a PS3 ;_;

I made a promise to myself not to play this until I actually beat Snake Eater, so I'm going to wait until a used copy pops up at GameStop. I shall then proceed to play it on my 40'' LCD in glorious HD via my PS3 and an HDMI cable.

Joy shall commence.

I have my copy next to me as I type this. It is a very beautiful package, limited edition actually. TOO BAD I F***ING DON'T HAVE A PS3!!! :angry!!:

The day will come this summer when I buy a PS3 and an HDTV and I will enjoy this game in all its glory! I don't think it deserves any less.

I actually stood in line to get it at midnight. There was about 30 people there, which was surprising, because there are five more Gamestops within a five mile radius, and this one was in the middle of a strip mall. I saw a lot of people buying the system bundle, so it looks like PS3 sales will spike pretty impressively. I got the limited edition, which came with an extra blu-ray documentary, which I was surprised to find out is actually functional on my SDTV, and the soundtrack, which I think is the first game OST to actually physically own.(Though I've downloaded many of them.)

The game itself is too impressive. The visuals are the best I've seen in any game, and this is also true of the presentation. I haven't gotten very far at all, because I put it on hard, and I'm getting my ass handed to me, but even at this early stage, it's just incredibly captivating. You definitely have a much more powerful offensive arsenal, what with the more weapons, and better implemented FPS mode, though sneaking around and "BLAOW!" shocking people with the stun knife is very fun too.

You know, fuck it! I'm gonna buy a PS3 tomorrow and blow my brains playing this awesome work on my SDTV after my exams are done.

Okay, this'll probably make ya feel better. I saw episode 19 of Eva first on Adult Swim then saw 20-26. Then I read the whole article on wikipedia about the show before I ever saw the first half of the series.

Wow, I just tried to stun a female soldier by grabbing her crotch after stealing her crap. Yeah, obviously she ain't gonna go down like male soldiers since she ain't got no junk, Old Snake. You would think he would learn after the third time he gets kicked in the face. You guys have to see it; it's so funny.
