Not if your a sports fan their not. Are YOU a sports fan?

I'd agree that buying them every year is stupid though. I usually only buy one football and baseball game every console lifecycle. New modes and updated rosters simply aren't worth shelling out the 50-60 bucks they cost.

No, not really, but I've played enough of them to think they aren't all that fun. I can play one occasionally, but I play video games for the same reason I read books, to temporarily leave our world and enjoy someone elses. A break from reality is healthy once in a while.

Personally I feel the same way about first person shooters. They are generally all boring to me and I would rather go out hunting and use my real gun. But that doesn't mean I rip them and declare them all to suck.

Personally I like sport games as they don't take forever to play and on the Wii they are quite fun. (I like tennis the most). as for the Madden series, the last one I bought was 03 I think. Of the football ones they are the best. I like to play some of the Hockey games too.

Myself, I'm fond of the racing games, and to a lesser extent, some of the mecha/first person shooter games. I don't really play much anymore though, I get more fun out of writing and making stuff.

I'm a huge JRPG freak. I also like the action gaems, and 2D sidescollers.

And the lord said onto him, LET THIS THREAD LIVE AGAIN!!!:resurrect:

We all know about the shortage of Nintendo's Wii video game console. Over a year after it's initial release and it's still a pain in the ass to find one.

The Wii is hardware though, and given the difficulties of producing hardware, especially one as popular as the Wii, I can accept that their having trouble producing enough of them.

THIS HOWEVER I CANNOT ACCEPT:

Apparently Nintendo not only has trouble with hardware production, but software production as well!

Super Smash Bros Brawl is probably the most anticipated game of the year, so what kind of brain dead dumb asses didn't think to up production a little? Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if Nintendo wants to be in 3rd place again.

I have SSB: Brawl reserved so I'm not too worried about the shortage, as long as I still get one ^_^ .

But I am rather pissed at Microsoft right now, my Xbox 360 died on me a few nights ago. I didn't get the 3 red rings, but the picture went out, so I called Microsoft and they told me my warranty was up and they would only fix it for free if it had the red rings. I ended up kicking the damn thing and it started to work again. A day later, it stopped. My solution? Rather than paying to get it fixed I sold it back to EB and bought myself a black Elite with another warranty with it. I saved myself a lot of money seeing as I didn't have to buy my first Xbox (a friend won it from work and gave it to me) and this was a good excuse to buy the Elite which I've been wanting. Anyway, sorry about the rant.

Anyone looking forward to Gears of War 2? Because I am!
