Have you seen Nids in 3k+ games? I've seen them take down IG and Spacewolves. IG might not be the best codex for long though, Leafblower is going to take a huge hit when the old Daemonhunter codex cycles out.

Campaign has limited replayability, though it's good overall.

Multiplayer is greatly improved as well, can't wait to play some Last Stand.

I just finished up the Imperial Gaurd campaign and started on the Eldar campaign, and I see what you mean about limited replayability. I've just started, and already the first two missions are playing the same. Oh sure, there's the differences in army loadouts and dialogue (IG has a better loadout, Eldar has better dialogue), but other then that it feels much the same.

Haven't tried multiplayer at all yet, but I'm really looking forward to trying Last Stand too.

EDIT: Also, here's the next snippet of the Ciaphas Cain/Evangelion fusion for those who are interested: http://forum.evageeks.org/viewtopic.php?p=433792#433792

Just got the second edition chaos codex (its one of the few that's impossible to find a PDF online). First thing I noticed about it was that it was huge. As i started to read, its fluff was really great and the rules are so radically different compared to what we have now. Also Abaddon's rules have him have an armor save of 2+ on 2D6...yes that's right 2+ on 2D6

What is the best place for newbies for Warhammer 40K since I wanted to get into this series for a long time now? I used to collect some of the models when I was 11 or 12.

I'd suspect that it'd be a Games Workshop store in your local area, but I'm sure there's other ways, I just play the PC games, read the fluff and have a fun time with the over the top setting.

do this and/or look for a local game store that does 40k, cause GW stores can be sparse in terms of location, I remember a friend telling me the nearest GW store was in georgia and he's in florida

Also (and I dont know if this is just me) but I sometime's feel preshurised into buying something at a GW store. Better to go to an individual stockist, like I do now.

It's amazing how their tabletop RPG's are cheaper hobbies than their main gamelines. Anyone play Dark Heresy/Rogue Trader/Deathwatch btw?

Yes, Yes, Discuss!

I shall post 40k /tg/ imagery for great entertainment as my resources are as vast as Imperium is large!

Go download Vassal 40k, it will let you play the tabletop game for free via the internets. You have to do everything manually, kind of like magic workstation for anyone that plays MTG out there, but I find it's the best way to test out and learn new armies without shelling out hundreds of dollars in cash.
