Very interesting stuff, right there. But very Eva-ish.

Hey, it actually makes a lot of sense. First time I got legitimate information of Kabbalah. Everyone I know who's heard of it is always bad mouthing it.

Not when you realize it's the same thing quantum physicists have been talking about for years. This guy seems to actually know what he's talking about, as opposed to spewing out the latest theosophical mumbo-jumbo.

Where are you right now? In front of a computer screen?

This guy is good. He's on to something. I am in front of a computer screen! So, this is Shinji when he grew up?

It was an interesting watch and I liked the way this was presented.

It's more the other way around. Kabbalah has been around for a long time. And it was one of the influences for Evangelion.

I can't help but wonder if this is "real" Kabbalah or the modern day LOLHOLLYWOOD Kabbalah that is oh so popular

by presentation I'd say it's the latter

I'd agree. The "LOLHOLLYWOOD" version has given it a really bad name. It's on the same level with most people as Scientology, which isn't a good thing.

Judging by the presentation alone I'd say it's the former. Like I said, what he talks about in the video meshes with the fundamentals of quantum mechanics.

Most of the "LOLHOLLYWOOD" crap is actually closer to theosophy rather than true Kabbalah.

That's what she said, BUT ANYWAY, back to being mature.

This was a very interesting thing. If any of you know much more about the Kabbalah, I'd love if you could tell me about it. Sounds right up my alley.

I'm not expert on Kabbalah but I do know far more than is worthwhile about theosophy, Kabbalah and various new age movements.

Quite simply Quantum Mechanics were discovered in early 20th Century. Kabbalah is mystical Rabbinic Judaism that developed into what it is during Middle Ages. Obviously connection (or rather: parallels) between implications of QM and Kabbalah is something that has been made only during modern times. Besides, many these kind of movements "abuse" QM left and right. Kabbalah is by no means only esoteric system of thought that can be joined with modern physics. The faux-Kabbalah meshes just as well as "original" Kabbalah with these things.

I must confess I didn't watch that video very long because it was starting to get too stupid. Not to mention the sleazy, clearly professionally (with big money) made nature of video doesn't exactly raise confidence. The rhethoric and presentation is exactly something Hollywood would do. I have hard time seeing any honest old time mystics doing video like that.

I stand corrected.
