Yes. I assist in my church's youth drama program and have to deal with girls like this all the time. In the manga, the most Asuka seemed to be comfortable around Kaji is when he was being a father figure to her, not the sexual deviant she thought she wanted from him. And even in episode 22' of the anime, Asuka's deep dark thought of Kaji really just ended up being as a figure of protection from Shinji, the character she tried to be the sexual deviant towards.

Of course, acting on these desires in the real world brings out a whole host of psychological and legal issues. Age of consent varies from place to place, as well.

Oh, I would say Asuka's plenty moe on her own too. I've seen topics on /a/ that are basically pity parties for her, with lots of back and forth about how to get through to her. So she isn't "appealing" just for the hotness.

Actually, I've also noticed a conspicuous lack of attraction to Ritsuko on my part. And I wonder if that's just a random quirk of personal preference, since I know plenty of other people find her hot, or whether it's something about her clinical demeanor that's supposed to be sort of off-putting.

Well there's the whole legal age thing, which varies from state to state I believe. That might have something to do with pedophilia. (Or is that just "indecent liberties with a minor"? My inexperience shows in this area.) In most of the States, the legal age of consent ranges from 16 - 18 years of age depending on the individual state.

But, yes. Asuka is cute.

My cousin is a little Asuka, red hair and everything. And she will kick your balls if you let her. So I'm not sure if I like Asuka anymore, because every time I remember Asuka, I remember my cousin. Unnecessary physical roughness go hand in hand here...and she doesn't even get the 10 yard penalty most of the time. Maybe its because I'm one of the few who can actually stand her for more than 5 minutes. :>

But yeah, knowing a real life Asuka, some of you may want to think twice. It takes the right kind of personality, otherwise you will be totally dominated by her like most people are (but some actually like this).
