On the subject of the name 'evangelion': well, it's greek; I don't know how to properly pronounce greek words, so I don't know if the hard G used in the original Japanese dub is correct. Does anyone here know greek? It must have been discussed before.

By the way, I pronounced Evangelion wrong because of the director got pissed be cause he thought I was saying it wrong, he wouldn't print the line with the right pronunciation.

I don't want to live in a world where he mispronounces Eva.
That's what I'm assuming. I mean, if he's a big enough fan to collect figures and presumably offer to plug the show in one of his movies, I'm sure he knows the proper pronunciation of the title.
