The kitchen fight in EoE, the arguing and choking along with komm susser todd starting followed by the images of Naoko choking Rei was just... i don't know how to put the effect it had on me into words. Even though i've seen it many times now it still affects me every time.

The Asuka mind-rape scene didn't affect me much when i first watched it about 7 years ago but now whenever i see it it has a much bigger impact on me

The sequence at the end of EoE where Shinji and Rei are yapping about humanity. Then they show Shinji and Rei naked in a position that suspiciously resembles a sex position. Only thing that made me think otherwise was Rei having her hands IN Shinji's chest. I kind of thought "So is Shinji had oedipal thoughts?"

Rei's permeable breast (hell, permeable entire body) in EoE. Coming in hard on the heels of "oh, by the way, Gendo's hand is covered in good lord what is that," the scene still makes me blink every time I watch it.

That is one of my favorite moments in the series actually. My friend and I literally started cheering when that happened simply because it was so over-the-top violent.

Actually I thought the crushing of the entry plug was the most disturbing part of that scene.

The meaning of Shinji's life
Episode 22 DC (boy, what an episode)
The opening scene of EOE (a warning that this ending is definitely not for children)
The Bloody battle in... Oh, let's face it, EoE gave me a 100% WTF; but it is still one of the best endings.

I'd love to say the final two episodes of the TV series, but by the time I saw them in 2001, it was so well known around the internet that I had been completely spoiled and knew that it wouldn't be much of an ending.

My biggest shock would then have to go towards End of Eva, which I was much less spoiled for.
