Favourite Song?

By "song" I mean only ones with lyrics, duh.

So which is your favourite, out of the entire series?
I remember watching Eva the first time, and the opening had no subtitles, so I didn't have a clue what the lyrics of Cruel Angel's Thesis were about. But I was amazed that a song in a completely different language could have so much impact. It was amazing. And let's not forget how well the animation is timed to the music, that really adds to it.

Or Come, Sweet Death. When it starts in EoE is one of my all-time favourite moments out of any film. A few moments of silence, then that haunting piano opening. And it just seems to fit so well with what's going on; it's freaky.

And no one forgets that immortal image; the moon rising in the background, the sillohoutte of Rei slowly spinning, and Fly me to the moon playing.

So, out of all the songs in the series, which one do you think is the best/is used the best way?

Personally, I would say Come, Sweet Death.

They're the only ones I had in mind when I did this. There's probably music in Eva that's used better and adds for to the scenes than these three, but didn't have words, and so wasn't as noticable.

I liked Cruel Angel Thesis. Especially during the last episode at the very end, when they did the piano version of it. It made me happy.

Haha when i heard the piano version, OMG i fucking creamed my self just listening to it...
then my friend started talking and i killed him for making me miss part of this wonderful song...
And then it ended and i broke the disk because people are not worthy enough for the song, but i missed it like 3 seconds later and bought another...EoE dvd and listened to it all night ........

Thats my story and im sticking to it!

Come sweet death all the way. Just like the 'penis' said, the way it starts as Shinji strangles Asuka, gives me chills it's so awesome. Another great part is when jesus, joy of man's desiring, starts playing in the background.
