i think that the cherry blossom metaphor is what best describes Rei. when u see her smile is like when the cherry blossom is at season.

That's a nice description... Also, it fits with her short, tragic lifespan as Rei I and Rei II (and probably Rei III as well...)

What could I say about Rei...

Rei is a selfless child, learning about emotions, running away from the truth within her.

She's water and moonlight.

Rei is my second favourite character, because she has this mask that only Shinji could take off, and her realization that she could be more than a tool in Gendo's plot, and that she is undisposable because of the bonds she forms with other people, like Shinji, her classmates and Misato.
