What tune would you kill the characters to?

I know, it's a bit of a silly question. I just saw EoE.

I've always loved musical endings... Metropolis, Dr. Strangelove... and End of Evangelion delivered a nice musical part (which I consider the ending since the movie basically deconstructs from then on), in which the movie decides to commit its own little genocide on the good ol' cast with the help of Lilith.

The part is well-done and all, and I liked the song. A bit* depressing, but liked it nonetheless. However, the lyrics aren't quite fitting. For what I know the song deals with suicide, and what was on-screen was mass liquefaction rather than suicide.

So, the question is, what song would you have chosen for that sequence? Keeping the meaning of the scene, so "Hand of Doom" or "Indestructible" don't count.

*read: very depressing.

I'm also a fan of the Metropolis ending. For Evangelion, how about playing Louis Armstrong's What a Wonderful World while the red tide sweeps over everything. Just to give more weight to what's being lost and all that.

This would be extremely cool. I think a lot of Pink Floyd would go well with Evangelion, especially songs off of The Wall.

It would be amusing from my point of view for EoE to be sped up 4x, then having the chicken song being out on full blast. When you think about it, it's pretty funny. Oh yeah, and all those circus-related songs LOL.
