I've just watched 'Death' for the first time. The re-editing of the 'Rei slapping Shinji' and the 'Shinji recovering in hospital' scenes, so that one immediately followed the other, made me laugh.

The re-edit made it look like Rei's slap had hospitalised the feeble sod.

I find it hilarious that poor Maya Ibuki just can't seem to do her job right. She's never able to freaking force eject the entry plug. It's like her signature line.

Also I find it utterly hilarious that Rei seems to have only two outfits. Her plug suit and her school uniform. Yet for some ungodly reason has more plain white lingerie than a Victoria Secret's outlet.

It works a little better when you're just reading "Correct" (or alternative translation) but hearing Tachiki's alarmingly casual "Sou da", IMO. Then again, I guess the fact that Gendo is being so smooth and Shinji is being so melodramatic could be a source of unintended humor instead.

I'm still trying to come up with some of my own examples for this thread. I know they're out there, somewhere.
