Is watching Death for the fullscreen worthwhile? I mean, does the ep. 24 fight look more fantastic, or is it just the TV version recropped?

Is EoE's widescreen side very nice with this release?

Nothing looks more fantastic in Death,
you'd do yourself a favour by saving your
money and not buying it.

truth!
Only reason i bought D&R was because it came bundled with EoE and it worked out cheaper
(£8 for D&R + EoE or £25 for EoE alone.....)

Widescreen = fail.

Wow, reminds me of how if someone played BioShock in widescreen, they were actually playing the game with the top and bottom of the screen slashed off.

Sounds like Death is an apt name for such a product.

Hopefully you all aren't including the handful of cuts that were specifically redone for DEATH in this generalized assessment of the movie.

Really? In some games, it's the other way around, which is especially wierd for Doom 3 because it doesn't offer widescreen resolutions in the main menus (you have to go into the console)

It might not be pretty, but I still think Death is probably the best installment of Eva, Rebuild notwithstanding (Not seen any of that yet). I think it's probably because Eva has always, at least for me, always been more focussed on the characters than the plot, and Death is primarily structured as a character study rather than just a recap of the series.

Y'know what, Talking about character studies, I'm going to use this as an opportunity to pimp this old thing I did with Death ages ago.
