Just what it says... like the music thread, but anime/manga based instead. Can be random shout outs or even more in-depth if you want.

For example, Kensuke is a born Gundam otaku, no question whatsoever.

Could Gendo be a secret Go Nagi (both Giant Robo and Devilman) fan?

What would Rei think of Metropolis? (I'm especially curious how she would compare both Kenichi and Rock to Shinji.)

I said something different.

Ok:

Gendo: closet Sailor Moon fan

Rei: Stuff like GitS, and other cyberpunk stuff that is deep.

Asuka: Shin Chan, DragonBall, maybe Tenchi Muyo, other romantic drama/action/slice of life stuff

Shinji:Slice of Life stuff, so that he can try to apply it to his life. Shows that offer "service"....... hentai.......

Toji: action, action, action. Probably Gurren Lagann.

Kensuke: Gundam for sho, Gurren Lagann, maybe Full Metal Panic for the military stuff, other military based anime

Hikari: Sort of like Toji and Asuka mix hentai

Misato: Same as Asuka

Ritsuko: Too many to name all at once, she watches a lot with her cats.

Of course you have to assume that 2I doesn't effect manga/anime production -- except possibly delay things by 7 years. Though I'm sure Bleach, Naruto and One Piece will still be running in 2015 :D

I can imagine Fuyutsuki having the occasional ronery jag with Twilight Romance titles, while being a secret reader of Mohiro Kitoh.

Shinji would probably want to watch Strike Witches, but wouldn't dare when Asuka is around.

Shinji's too prudish about sex -- he'd probably watch just fan-service and ecchi and feel bad about doing so, and worse for fapping after.

Kensuke would probably feel that mecha-musume was the best genre ever, combining two interests into one.

Asuka: probably action stuff, most of which would be fairly realistic.
Rei: my guess is some sort of dectective/mystery stuff
Touji: sports/ecchi
Kensuke: ecchi/hentai or hentai/ecchi
Shinji: probably comedy, or, Sadamoto's Evangelion

I could see Asuka as a closet Yaoi fan, she'd probably never openly admit it. Kaworu would be out of the closet though.
