Does Anyone Else Find Evangelion: VOX Hilarious?

I mean, it's rap that they're trying to somehow tie to Evangelion.

For example, these lyrics from the track "Armageddon", a rap song to the tune of Pachelbel's Canon crack me up in particular:

"Catholic, Muslim... There's too many religions!"
"You don't even stop to think/that what happened to the dinosaurs could make us all extinct!"

And the opening track... erm... with... with the preacher...

"EEEEEEEEVAAAAAAAAAANGELION!!! WORLD'S WORST NIGHTMARE!"

And, of course, "X-plicit"... erm... what? A bunch of swearing with the audio of Shinji masturbating in the background, then some sort of strange remix of Asuka saying "Anta baka?" and the such.

Conclusion: For me, impossible to take seriously. The only original content of any merit other than giggles, in my opinion, is the KST: Tumbling Down mix. After all, it was the last track that Nina Simone recorded before her death.

VOX is the Evangelion CD that most people just forget exists. Came out back in '97 and is, in fact, mostly rap music. I actually haven't had a chance to listen to it, myself.

Apparently VOX is a little more obscure than I thought it was. Still, you didn't really expect them to miss the opportunity to milk the rap market, did you? (Erm... milking a market... I should have said "rap cow", or possibly "rapping tomato".)

Indeed, it is quite embarrassing. I still have it though cause I'm a completionist and like to have as many Eva related albums as possible. Anyway, at least a couple of the tracks aren't total crap.

I acutally kinda like the Kanon D Dur rap, only thing I've heard from VOX. ^^;

In terms of this "EEEEEEEEVAAAAAAAAAANGELION!!! WORLD'S WORST NIGHTMARE!", on S2 Works and Symphony, there's a variation of Borderline Case with chorus (2 different takes on S2 Works disc 7) that has those lyrics. It's nicely done actually.

I don't like Rap or R&B (thought Thanatos~If I Can't Be Yours~ is made of win! ), so yeah. Good thing I've never listened to it. It sounds painful.
