Is Evangelion your FAVORITE anime?

i gotta say yes.because im attached to it since it was the first anime i ever watched when i was like 10 or 11 years old.

i watched and liked a lot since then.....i recommend watching cencoroll(movie) a 28 minute movie,they say it have a lot of eva relationship stuff in there,i personally enjoy it.

but cmon,anime is such a big open wolrd,ill be a waiste,theres a lot of good stuff and actually masterpieces live evangelion ou there

ATTENTION this might sound weird but the anime i enjoyed the Most its a simple romantic one, KICHOU WA MAID SAMA. thats the real deal,lol

KICHOU WA MAID SAMA is an interesting shoujo anime, although somehow I love the manga better :)

Evangelion is indeed my favorite anime (Death Note comes close, but for different reasons and i don't think it could ever dream of replacing EVA) I think part of it has to do with the fact that i don't really watch anime tough.

I tend to think it's a bad question. Eva is Eva; it doesn't really have much competition for being what it is, but if I'm in the mood for shoujo, cyberpunk, romcom, real mecha, or something else that is what Eva isn't there's really no way to compare the two. It'd be like comparing Aliens to The Shawshank Redemption, From Russia With Love, and Gorky Park. They're all movies, yes, but there are no real points of comparison to be found there, so how would you rank them?

I gotta admit I've invested a lot more in Eva than anything else, though. I dunno whether that means it's a favorite or just in a class by itself. -o-;

I would have to say that it is my favorite because I like its deep story and suspense. I have not yet found an anime that I like better than Evangelion because of these reasons.

I agree with Bagheera. It can't really be compared to much else out there. But it is still my favorite simply for the way in which it struck a chord with me. Nothing else has come close to replicating that feeling...yet. I also identify with Shinji a lot. It's uncanny how many common elements we share.

If driving me crazy with addiction counts as favoritism, then hell yes i would classify Eva as the one that surpasses all other anime needs. :w00:

Same here, Gus. Nothing else has stricken me with interest like Evangelion has. I think one of the things that makes it so interesting and prone to discussion is the fact that it leaves so many open-ended questions. So yeah, it doesn't look like anything will be taking Eva's place in my heart for a long while. XD

I think what CaasiBoy means is that Evangelion is the anime that's made him think the most, but it may not be the anime he enjoyed the most.

It's definitely up there in my favorites, definite favorite I don't know because there are so other series I really love but Evangelion definitely stands out among them and has great nostalgic value for me as well as a great emotional attachment.

I think I'm going have to stick with "Duh". Of course it's my favorite series. Nothing else even comes close.

EDIT: The Future Diary is coming in as a close second. Good god, that show is amazing.
