It's a lil irritating how there is no 04, 05 or 07. Kenske gets 04 in some games. Hikari technically gets her own EVA in ANIMA but it has no number.

Maybe it's because of the teasers: Shinji and Kaworu are wearing their school uniforms, except the latest teaser, we see Shinji with him own plugsuit.

Also, I just realized that there is a paper taped to the wall written「控室」(hikaeshitsu), witch means "waiting room". I think they're waiting for Shin Eva to be released. That's explain the "In stand by" (「待機中」) on the artist tweet
