Total wizard of Eva

Okay, I was thinking of how Evangelion could have similarities to other references and came up with this:

Wizard of Oz
Misato: Dorothy
Pen pen: Toto
Shinji: Lion (We all know he could use some courage)
Asuka: Tin man (She needs a freakin' heart)
Rei: Scarecrow (The whole quite-brainless-Rei we all know)
SEELE: The wizard

I'm not too sure about this part, but either Adam or Lilith represent the bad witch and the other one represents the good.

There's probably a few other things I can't remember. But for now, any takers?

Um....since when is Wendy in The Wizard of Oz? You're thinking of Dorothy. Wendy is from Peter Pan.

Anyway, this time you're reaaaaallllllly streaching it. The Wizard of Oz is about a little girl suddenly transported to a magical world who wants to go home. In what way does Eva resemble this? How is Misato like Dorothy? For this analogy to work at all, wouldn't it make more sense for Misato to be the Good Witch & Shinji to be Dorothy? (Even then it still doesn't work.) If Asuka is so heartless, shouldn't she be the Wicked Witch? In what way is Rei brainless? She often seems to lack personality, but that's not the same thing. When does she ever do anything outright stupid? How is Seele like the Wizard? Seele has real power & is in effect ruling the world, unlike the Wizard, who is a fraud. Who would Kaji be? No, I don't think this is going anywhere at all.
