I don't know what is going on, but I love these comics, not because of the Mariasu or anything, I just love the expressions he do. (It's somewhat nice to see Mari wearing anything but a smug cat-like grim)

Wait. What timeline or continuity doth this take place in? Rei Q exists, and Ritsuko has her post Q hairstyle. But Kaworu is still alive and Asuka isn't missing an eye.

That Ritsuko is a reference to another image that has Misato and Ritsuko in those kung-fu boobie bandage fetish getups. I can't remember in what context it was created and if it was some kind of fan thing or official or whatever.

^ Yes, there's so much good in those books - which is why I have all ten (five NGE+EoE, five ENT so far) plus the FLCL one as well. Although often the colouring of the actual animation makes the final form of the images clearer, not infrequently the draft is clearer because it only shows what's needed.

I always enjoy that scene in 1.11 where we can see the minigun shells falling on the cars. It's a nice... reminder of scale, I guess. It makes you really feel how big this stuff is.
