Now now... some people do prefer their yaoi bait a little more butch, you know? Many folks who prefer guys quite reasonably want them to actually look masculine, as otherwise it's kind of missing the point. 'Bears' exist too.

There's plenty of room for all tastes, so don't start up with that "yaoi pigs" crap again.

So that probably explains why I'm of the LTS variety (Toji x Shinji), for the reasons you've listed above. That and such a (hypothetical) relationship actually seems to fit the typical archetype of BL/yaoi relations, more so than LKS (God, I hope was I clear on that), of the masculine top (Toji) and effeminate bottom that is very prevalent in the genre. Toji is certainly butch and the most manly Eva character.

With that said (and on the subject Kaworu), I don't think the 17th Angel, despite being a bishonen/pretty boy, is effeminate looking and is quite masculine/manly, well, as far as bishonen/pretty boys go. Kaworu is certainly more masculine/manly than Shinji is but that's not saying much now is it.

Arael and Tabris would end up having a very awkward conversation about wtf Tabris is doing inside an Eva. Kaworu, clearly corrupt by Lilin's ways at this point would try to hide his mancrush and Arael would start diggin but TIME THE FUCK OUT. You don't just telepathically dig through a fellow angel's mind! Arael is gonna be reminded that the others already sat him down once and told him that shit was not cool and it's a worse party trick than Leliel making your keys disappear. But at least it's not as bad as Matarael oozing on you...

Arael is just gonna have to walk away with Nerv never knowing wtf happened.
