That's how I originally watched it and that's the only way I'll re-watch it.

It makes it so much better don't ya know?

That´s nice and all, but don´t try to blame anything on Evangelion when you do something stupid while drunk in the near future.

I once hosted an Evangelion panel while intoxicated. It was awesome.

Drunk is fine, but I've found it to be even better on more exotic intoxicants.

Anyone ever tried watching Asuka's mind rape while on an hallucinogen? I can only imagine the mental apocalypse...

Watching something on a screen or a TV is surprisingly dull while on hallucinogens.

Depends on the hallucinogen but yeah this is mostly the case. I found Utena and EoE to be of great interest as a stimulus while smoking DMT, but I couldn't have told you what episode I was watching, because it wasn't the screen I was paying attention to. Anything stronger and you aren't likely to need external stimuli to enter a world of gigantic nightmare vagina gods.

Really, Eva goes best with weed IMO. It enables one to just let the gaping plot holes slide and just feel for meaning.

Drunk or not, it still doesn't make sense.
So, not much of a difference.

I dunno about the rest of you guys but the only reason and way I'll watch FLCL is if I'm tripping balls.

Good times.

I'd like to try watching EoE while tripping, but I wouldn't even know where to start looking for the goods. I've led a pretty sheltered life.

If one were to watch NGE drunk they should chose Yebisu to accomplish the task, yes?

Yebisu has the image of being the "oyaji" beer (the old guys beer) perhaps because it was more expensive and had stronger "beer" taste while the younger generation prefer the cheaper and much lighter taste of those "imitation beer". Without going the premium brands, Yebisu is the closest to having a "gourmet beer" so to speak. So Misato does have some good taste when she comes to drinking
